Intermediate PE (4-7)
I will be posting some guidelines here that parents and students can use if they like. They are only recommendations, so do what you like and leave the rest behind.
Students should be either doing the basic movements well, or developing the skills to be physically literate within the next few years. They can also be working on sport skills, gymnastics, swimming, wrestling, dancing and fitness components. Students should also have knowledge about healthy lifestyle choices like good nutrition, being active, taking care of their mental health, good relationships and the topic that is on everyone's mind right now, the importance of handwashing and stopping the spread of bacteria and viruses. They should also be beginning to learn about unhealthy choices like smoking, vaping, alcohol and drugs.
The basic movements that students should be proficient at or at least developing at this moment are:
Locomotor Movements like running, skipping, galloping, hopping, and sliding.
Fundamental Skills such as underhand throw, overhand throw, catching, and kicking.
Gymnastic movements like balancing, rolling, jumping, landing.
The skills that students should be integrating into their daily routines could include:
Any sport related skill, fitness component (both health and skill related), dance component, gymnastic movements, or wrestling. I will go into each of these in a bit more detail on other pages.

Virtual Classroom
I am going to try to get on once a week or more for a virtual classroom. I will post the date and time each week of the virtual classroom but for now I am thinking Mondays at 11am so you can study in the morning, then take a break to do some fun activities and get energized again.
All of these meetings will be recorded and posted to the internet in some way. So please be aware of what you are doing, you can also stop video for yourself which helps, as well as creating a username that is just your initials. Please email me if you have any concerns about being recorded and I will see if I can help you out in any way.
I will host all meetings with my personal zoom ID: https://zoom.us/j/3247280946
I am pretty sure there is a password now when you try to join in on a meeting so I think this is it: 938771
First zoom meeting: Monday, April 13th at 11am - Bucket Challenge, Heads or Tails Fitness, 3 Balloon Challenge
Monday, April 20th at 12pm (noon) - Rock Paper Scissors Fitness, Wipeout Dance, Hands Clap Dance, Backdoor Basketball
Monday, April 27th at 12pm - Red or Black Fitness, 10 minute workout, Games

Active Break Suggestions
May Day (Extra Activities)
Here are a few extra May Day suggestions for games in case you wanted some more challenge or some more games to play on May Day!
Activity Apps for your Device
Most of these apps are free at the moment, so if you have the space, download some of these and have tons of fun.
1. AR Runner App - This is my absolute favourite, you will need a bit of space but it is so much fun.
2. Homecourt App - This is a basketball app, so if you are interested in basketball then this one can be really fun.
3. Swork it App - This is a great workout app, they also have a swork it kids section.
4. Nike Training App - Another great workout app, they have a ton of specific workouts with live video, it could possibly take up a lot of space though.
