Primary PE (K-3)
I will be posting some guidelines here that parents and students can use if they like. They are only recommendations, so do what you like and leave the rest behind.
At this age, it is best to keep things very fun while integrating basic movements. This will look different for almost every child, so you can gauge if your child is having fun or not.
The basic movements we should be integrating at this time are:
Locomotor Movements like running, skipping, galloping, hopping, and sliding.
Fundamental Skills such as underhand throw, overhand throw, catching, and kicking.
Gymnastic movements like balancing, rolling, jumping, landing.
Wrestling probably with their parents, unless their siblings can really get along
Swimming when available
Little amounts of strength activities, especially as they are getting older like pushups, squats, lunges, pull ups etc. (only if they enjoy it though)

Challenges
I will try to post some different challenges that students can do in a written form or in the form of Youtube videos. Some may be from myself, but many of them might just be challenges that I find and that are fun.
1. Bottle Flip Challenge
2. Create an obstacle course (Send me an email with a picture of the course when it is complete) - Parents you can offer some ideas at first, but let them create them as well using different obstacles (garden tools, sports equipment, garden hose, trampoline, blankets, shoes, jungle gym etc.) and have them do different movements (backwards, sideways, hopping, climbing, skipping etc.). Here are some links to get inspired: Ninja Warrior and Indoor Obstacle Course and Outdoor Obstacle Course.
3. Try a session of Cosmic Kids Yoga. The link is for a Harry Potter themed session, but there are some for Pokemon, Frozen, Fairies, etc.
4. Some balloon challenges done by a colleague called the PE Specialist
5. Gratitude Scavenger Hunt from Play Education
6. Outdoor Scavenger Hunt from Play Education
7. Mission Possible from Play Education
8. A to Z Scavenger Hunt from Play Education

Active Break Suggestions
May Day (Extra Activities)
Here are a few extra May Day suggestions for games in case you wanted some more challenge or some more games to play on May Day!
Virtual Classroom
I am going to try to get on once a week or more for a virtual classroom. I will post the date and time each week of the virtual classroom but for now I am thinking Mondays at 11am so you can study in the morning, then take a break to do some fun activities and get energized again.
I will host all meetings with my personal zoom ID: https://zoom.us/j/3247280946
I am pretty sure there is a password now when you try to join in on a meeting so I think this is it: 938771
All of these meetings will be recorded and posted to the internet in some way. So please be aware of what you are doing, you can also stop video for yourself which helps, as well as creating a username that is just your initials. Please email me if you have any concerns about being recorded and I will see if I can help you out in any way.
First zoom meeting: Monday, April 13th at 11am - Bucket challenge, Heads or Tails Fitness, 3 balloon keep up
Monday, April 20th at 11am - Rock Paper Scissors Fitness, Wipeout Dance, Hands Clap Dance
Monday, April 27th at 11am - Red or Black Fitness, Sock Ball Catching, Chicken Dance

Fun Activities that use technology
Just Dance Now - This one uses a screen like a computer and a smart phone, so lots of technology here, but it is tons of fun.
AR Runner App - This one uses your smart phone but you'll need a bit of room, so you'll likely play outside.
